About Me
My name is Elifer Santos. I was born and raised in the Philippines and later moved to the town of Banff in Alberta, Canada. I grew up and discovered my passion for filmmaking surrounded by postcard-like views of the Rocky Mountains, where life moves at a gentler pace. My first productions were personalised semi-documentaries of the lives of close friends using a handheld digital camera.
My Education
My love for filmmaking led me to Vancouver, BC, where I attended the Digital Film and Video Program at The Art Institute of Vancouver. I am able to professionally produce, shoot, direct and edit. Collaboration with other individuals has been a continual inspiration to me. I imagine I’m in the place of the character in the story so I can connect with their emotions and challenges. I develop attachments and relationships with the stories and characters that I’m editing – this enables me to deliver both a professionally and emotionally valuable final product.

In my spare time I explore older photographs and video footage, or experiment with new forms of editing and filmmaking. In short, this is both my occupation and my passion.
